Launched in May, Coffee Connectors is a networking opportunity exclusively for Inversant Scholars. By participating in Coffee Connectors, first-generation college students and recent graduates can improve their professional skills and make meaningful connections with industry leaders.
Our inaugural event on May 19 was attended by over 80 industry leaders who participated as Connectors and 30 Inversant student and alumni Connectees. Coffee Connectors was initiated by Dean Atkins (Inversant Board of Directors) and Greg Lauze, partners at NorthBridge Partners, as an extension of Inversant’s mission to ensure that low income families have the resources and understanding they need to achieve their goals for higher education. Coffee Connectors is a simple idea: Meet with young professional over coffee and expand their network by introducing them to two more professional contacts.
