Congrats to Our October Sweepstakes Winner
Maggie Luu became part of the Inversant family when she joined through our Chelsea High School program almost two years ago. She joined on behalf of her younger sister May. As a Chelsea alumna, Maggie understands the importance of learning about the college process early on. She says “I didn’t have any kind of support when I was in school and my parents couldn’t help me but Inversant shows us more than just the money and financial aid.”
Maggie attends monthly workshops to learn about steps May needs to be taking to apply to college. She uses the resources and what she learns at these workshops to give advice to May on things that she wished she knew when she went through the college process. Maggie shares that before Inversant they had opened a savings account for May but never actively saved because they didn’t have a support system or that extra push to get them to do so. “It’s much easier to save when you have reminders and someone showing you the value of it.”
May is a sophomore at Chelsea High School and is excelling academically. Among the list of schools she plans to apply to are, Northeastern University, Boston University and Harvard. She’s interested in learning more about the medical field and someday become a doctor. We see a bright future for May, we wish her the best!
