by | Mar 30, 2016 | News and Announcements

We are excited to share that we have named local philanthropist Ed Morata to our Board of Directors.

A resident of Lincoln and a native of Brazil, Morata has spent a large portion of his professional career in the financial industry, working in commercial and investment banking, asset management and private banking and brokerage in Brazil, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong and the United States.

“We’re thrilled to be able to add some of Ed’s abilities, background and knowledge to the Inversant family,” said Bob Hildreth, the founder of Inversant and current chairman of the Board. “He brings with him several unique perspectives –a history of financial planning, a history as an immigrant and a history of sitting on various philanthropic boards.”

Morata moved to the United States in 2010, and has been named to the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Boston, the Board of Overseers of WBUR and the Board of Visitors of the University of Massachusetts at Boston.

Since 2014, he has worked as a partner in the Spanish firm Grupo Eneas, where he oversees development of its international capabilities and co-manages the recently-created asset management division. Additionally, he is a Managing Director of the Perlmutter Institute for Global Business Leadership of the Brandeis International Business School.

“I was drawn to the work of Inversant from the moment I first learned about them,” Morata said. “Their record of success in helping families navigate the difficult process of college applications and finances is unquestioned, and has provided a better future for hundreds of students. I couldn’t be more excited to join such an important and inspiring organization.”

Ed and his wife, Carol, have three children – Theo (7), Santiago (6) and Martina Diva (3).

We are excited to have Ed join our team!
